“There are too many bands! Too many labels. Quality is getting dull e people only make useless cds”, Which reaction to all this? OBVIOUSLY, to create a music label.

The idea to establish Tea-Kettle Recods was born in a cold winter afternoon in December 2006, when two young music lovers, bored with the flat indie outline, decide to go into that world made of passion, blood, betrayals & loves, i.e. rock music. Of course they were drinking a tea. An Earl Grey Tea. Traditions first of all.

What does Tea-Kettle try to do? Apart from making good tea, it tries to bring to as many people as possible a music in which melody goes further any trend and in which guitars says “ I love you” but also “What a f***, let’s do whatever we wanna do!”. Everything made by people who wear striped T-shirts before they got trendy, people who where nerds before being nerd became a cool thing.

Folk? Pop? Rock? Okkervil River meets Yo La Tengo meets Teenage Funclub? Something like that…anyway, just have a look at the myspace page to have an idea of what they do.
